Is a squirrel a rodent or an animal?
Insurance Adjuster gets Squirrelly
According to one Insurance adjuster a squirrel is considered a rodent and they denied my clients claim from damage to the living room picture window and wooden window sill done by a intruding squirrel while on vacation 3 years ago. This story was discussed on The Rock & Roll Real Estate Hour last Saturday morning at 9am on 1480 WDJO AM radio. My client...we will call them Dana & Dean for now was told if it were a raccoon they would cover the almost $3,000.00 of damages the squirrel caused.
Now its an issue because Dana & Dean want me to put their home on the market to sell. Best price will not happen while this damage is out standing in the living room.
