There's a lot to enjoy around Findlay and the Hancock County area. Findlay's down town historic district is loaded with quaint little places to shop along with many niche services for your convenience. Gorgeous restored historic buildings host amazing boutiques, growing businesses, places to dine, pubs and places with fun activities. You'll love stores like the Homestead Collection at 11300 County Road 99 offering interesting home decor and gifts for all ages. If you want to do some landscaping around your new home, The Perennial Plant Peddler on 8755 Township Road 251 specializes in unusual perennials, hostas, daylilies, succulents, ornamental grasses, and veggies.

Toledo is not a bad distance from Findlay, and offers many of its own attractions, shopping and entertainment ideas, one notable opportunity being the Toledo Zoo. Fall color hayrides are available and Riverbend also offers the Raccoon Run Winter Sports Center for rental of cross country ski's and snowshoes.

You'll enjoy their Gyros and Gryo platters with tender, juicy and delicious lamb, along with other favorites like souvlaki, hummus, spanakopita, and other delights. For a large crowd (and for left overs) try the party platters loaded with hummus, pitas, fatoosh and tabbouleh with beef, chicken and lamb. Locals also love the shwarma and baklava.
If you have a taste for some Chinese, you're in for a treat at Hunan Gardens on 1949 Tiffin Ave, Suite 7, Findlay. Reasonably priced, very clean with pleasant staff providing fast service, you can expect fresh, hot delicious dishes and amazing soups; definitely try the hot and sour. Traditional Chinese fare that is passionately prepared include favorites like General Tso's Chicken, Sweet and Sour Pork, Sesame Beef, Mongolian Beef, Szechuan and Cashew Chicken and marvelous appetizers and sauces.

A great atmosphere and a clean establishment the plentiful salsa and chips are keen and good Sangria. You'll find all the traditional favorites and combo plates of enchiladas, rellenos, burritos, tacos along with chile verde and some specialty entrees.
For a best buy on all American, Culver's is considered the place to go for amazing, mouthwatering hamburgers, fries and shakes.
