Realtor Tips: Using Testimonials and References
I remember first starting out in real estate, working someone else's phones, trying to land a client whenever possible and doing all I could to gain experience. Having been a Realtor here in SW Ohio now since 2006 and coming up on a full decade of experience working Cincinnati to Dayton I think it's safe to say I've learned a few things about growing my business.
All agents can function either as a listing agent or a buyers' agent, but there are some differences. In either case, testimonials and references are key to ongoing success and an important part of marketing yourself.

Building Your Personal Brand
Most sellers connect with their listing agent by personal referral, but when it comes to buying, most buyers work with the first agent that contacts them back provided they are knowledgeable, helpful and consistently stay in touch. Buying or selling, testimonials and references go a long way; having a great collection of past and current testimonials definitely creates confidence for potential clients.
I cannot begin to count the number of times a buyer reached out to me after having read my reviews on Zillow and testimonials from other sources. It's become such an important part of my personal marketing I've recently added a testimonials page to my website, and this will help give you ideas for displaying your own testimonials:
It's important to keep them well-separated, provide dates, and keep adding current reviews. I find this list and these links also handy to share when courting new clients that have perhaps come across my content, one of my webpages or social media profiles and have not yet seen or missed spotting these references.
